Talking about the facts.

My husband and I haven't been super private about what is going on in the baby part of our life. It's not like everyone knows- as in we didn't blast it on Facebook or anything- but our families and our close friends know.  I find it helpful to give those close to us an overview of what is going on so that way we don't have to try to field off certain questions or looks we get when you can tell they want to ask what's going, but don't.  I'm open and honest with the procedures and the facts but leave out the emotionally raw part.  That is the part that is hard to explain.  That is the part that breaks my heart and I don't think I'd ever be able to say without my voice cracking and tears slipping from my eyes what this has done to me.

I mentioned to my counselor last Monday that I wonder what it will be like years from now when I look back on this time in our life.  What will I think? What will that feel like? Will the pain have lessened by then?
